Project Description:
Bridge replacement over Indian Creek with a 176' three span pre-stressed concrete beam bridge, 32' wide roadway and an 8' wide pedestrian walkway. Approach roadway pavement replacement for vertical grades watermain and storm sewer and provision for future trail under the bridge.
The existing bridge was built in the 1920's had structural deficiencies in addition to being inadequate geometrically.

The redesign had to include provisions for a future sidewalk and trails and meet the requirements of the Iowa DNR
for backwater limitations. Site constraint required careful design along one side due to established large trees. |

* Topographic Survey and Base Mapping.
* Preliminary and Final Design.
* Hydraulics with Submittal to the Corps. of Engineers and Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
* Coordination of Wetlands Issues.
