Project Description:

Engineering components to this project were the removal of deteriorating walkway systems between the Library and Memorial Union, then providing new plaza surface with improvements to storm water collection and site drainage. In addition to hardscape improvements several planting islands were installed for large deciduous trees as well as a design for a special inlaid brick surface for a new information kiosk.

Responsibilities: Shoemaker & Haaland provided site survey and base mapping as well as landscape design construction plans and specifications and construction inspection.
